We are thrilled to announce that Billie is hosting its first Hack Day on 8th July 2022 and we would like you to join us on this special day!
After many months of Zoom meetings and staying at home, it’s time to get back together and spark some out-of-the-box thinking. This is your chance to explore any ideas related to fintech and try them out with your teammates. Our main goal is for everybody to have fun and work together in a self-managed team.
Have you heard of a new methodology or technology? On Billie’s Hack Day you will get the opportunity to try them out. And don’t worry, we know that you will need a lot of fuel for your brainpower on this day, so we will provide snacks and drinks.
Last but not least, let's not forget to mention our special prizes: the top 3 projects will win 100€, 50€ and 25€ gift cards! \o/

The event will take place on the 8th of July at Billie headquarters.
Eligibility
Since this is a pilot event, only members of Engineering, Product, Design, and Data-science are allowed to participate at this point, so we can test the format and keep numbers at a manageable level. Don’t worry, this is only the beginning, you can join the next one!
Project and Submission Requirements
Before the Hack Day:

Ideas must be related to Fintech :)

The idea that you will work on, alongside your crew members, should be submitted to this platform by the 24th of June.

The teams should have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people.
During the Hack Day:

The groups must have a (~3 min) presentation of the project ready when the presentation round starts (5 pm) to be eligible for the prizes.

During the voting part, people can vote for as many projects as they like, but only once for each project.

The three groups with the highest number of votes will receive the prizes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).
Prizes

1st place: 100€ gift card
- 2nd place: 50€ gift card
- 3rd place: 25€ gift card
Each one of the team members will receive the full prize amount!
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
The voting will be public and open to anyone that watched the presentations.
